About Us and the Design Process

Our experienced team reflects the high standards we bring to all of our work. Our capabilities include the following :

  • High Density Multi-Layer and Flex Design

  • High Speed Design

  • RF Design

  • High Impedance Design

  • High Voltage Power Supply Design

  • Design for Manufacturability (DFM)

  • Blind and Buried Via Technology

  • Electro-Mechanical Design

Our team expertise includes analog and digital circuit design, embedded systems, communication protocols, multiple certification agencies (UL, CS, etc),. We have worked with all types of printed circuit board designs including high density, thermally sensitive, multilayer, SMT/through hole, high voltage, RF, high current, and flex circuits. Our experience includes high density board layout incorporating multi-layer, fine line, blind via, buried via, matched pair, strip-line, microstrip, and high impedance signal technology. We are versatile in a multiple array of tool sets. We specialize in mechanical packaging including mold design, sheet metal, tooling, and machined parts. Product experience includes high-end intelligent home automation and lighting controls and development of CAT5 video and audio switch and extension products as well as commercial sonar and radar using high-resolution side-scan Sonar system. Worked with clients including military, aerospace, medical, commercial, and industrial design.

Design Process - Typical Design Flow

The following process is a typical design flow:

1. Client contacts CircuitWorks via the website quote button and request a quote.

2. CircuitWorks emails Client to gather all information needed to provide an accurate quote. CircuitWorks provides quote based on complexity.

3. Once a Purchase Order is received CircuitWorks will enter the client’s schematics into the desired CAD tool or use clients provided CAD Datasets.

4. Client will review completed schematics and when ready will give CircuitWorks the green light to proceed with layout.

5. When the layout is complete it is submitted to the client for review and when ready will give CircuitWorks the green light to create fabrication files.

6. Fabrication files are emailed to the bare board shop and the assembly houses of the clients choosing. If no vendor is chosen CircuitWorks will recommend partner vendors. The Vendor will perform DFM (Design For Manufacturability) and feedback any changes to CircuitWorks with an additional vendor review cycle.

7. Once assembled  boards are delivered to client a final review is done and changes made through CircuitWorks as needed. An archived dataset is sent to the client.
